WWE News: WWE announces more participants for the Andre The Giant Battle Royal
What's the story?
The fifth annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal takes place at this year's WrestleMania. The company has announced a number of other names for the match ahead of tonight's show.
In case you didn't know...
There were a number of stars already announced for The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal including Matt Hardy, The Revival, Tye Dillinger and, even former winner Baron Corbin.
The match itself takes place just two days before HBO's documentary, detailing the life of Andre the Giant, is released. It also marks 25 years since the death of The Giant this year so, it was thought that there could be more riding on this match than the previous four years.
The heart of the matter
WrestleMania takes place tonight and it's already been announced that the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal will take place on the kickoff show, but the company has only just released a list of ten more names that will take part in the annual match.
Elias is a shock addition to the match since it was thought that 'The Drifter' would be part of a segment of his own on the night, but this could be a hint that it's been canceled and Elias will now only be part of the Battle Royal.
Apollo Crews, Sin Cara, Mike Bennett, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel. Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, R-Truth and Titus O'Neil make up the list of names revealed today.
What's next?
30 men will step into the ring as part of the kickoff show to crown the fifth Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner.
Author's take
The entire field hasn't been announced ahead of the match, which means that there is still a chance that there could be a number of surprises in the match tonight, with many of the WWE Universe believing that there could be a number of NXT stars called up as part of the match.
