WWE News: WWE confirms Daniel Bryan for special SmackDown Live event in London (Details)

The WWE has confirmed that Daniel Bryan will appear at an upcoming SmackDown Live event in London this May.
Additionally, the WWE has also advertised several notable Superstars from both brands to appear on what’s being promoted as 9 days of mayhem in the UK.

The recent announcement by the WWE whereby the promotion confirmed the fact that Daniel Bryan has indeed been medically cleared to make an in-ring return; sent shockwaves throughout the professional wrestling community.
Hours after the aforementioned announcement, Daniel Bryan appeared on SmackDown Live and was involved in a physical angle with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to close out this week’s episode.
The heart of the matter
The WWE has put forth an announcement detailing its upcoming tour of the UK in May—promoted as 9 days of mayhem in the UK from May 9th to May 18th, in cities including Bournemouth, London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle, Sheffield. Below is an excerpt from the WWE’s statement regarding the UK tour—
“Fans will be able to see all their favourite WWE Superstars all under one roof – including The Shield, Dean Ambrose Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, Kevin Owens, Alexa Bliss, Sheamus & Cesaro, Sasha Banks, Shinsuke Nakamura, Charlotte Flair, The New Day, Becky Lynch, and many more*.”
The WWE has advertised the following shows for its UK tour this May—WWE Live 2018 (May 9th, Bournemouth), WWE RAW (May 14th, London), WWE SmackDown (May 15th, London); WWE Live 2018 (May 15th, Birmingham), (May 16th, Liverpool), (May 17th, Newcastle), (May 18th, Sheffield).
Furthermore, the WWE also put forth a Tweet; confirming that SmackDown Live General Manager is coming to the UK and will appear on the May 15th episode of SmackDown Live at the O2 Arena in London.
However, as of this time, it’s unknown as to whether Bryan’s booking only includes an appearance or may have him compete in a match as well.
What’s next?
The vast majority of professional wrestling experts believe that Daniel Bryan is set to wrestle on a part-time schedule in the WWE from this point moving forward—with most of his matches taking place at TV tapings or PPVs.
Bryan and Shane McMahon are rumored to be taking on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a Tag Team Match at WrestleMania 34 on April 8th—a matchup that’s yet to be confirmed by the WWE.

Daniel Bryan returning to the ring after what seems like forever, truly has got to be one of the greatest feel-good stories in professional wrestling history.
Bryan could most definitely compete at the special episode in London, given the special emphasis WWE seems to be placing while advertising the UK tour.
