WWE News: WWE Cruiserweight Classic participant suffers injury, cancels bookings
Zack Sabre Jr. won his qualifier match for the WWE Global Cruiserweight Series (now called the WWE Cruiserweight Classic) at the London-based wrestling company, PROGRESS’ spectacular show, Chapter 29: Practically Progress In Every Way, at the Electric Ballroom in Camden Town.
‘The Technical Wizard’ Zack Sabre Jr. was scheduled to face ‘The Modfather of Pro Wrestling’, Flash Morgan Webster. Sabre Jr. is as we know, one of the hottest prospects in the world of pro wrestling today - having also won laurels and championships in ‘The Land of the Rising Sun’ Japan and America. Webster and Sabre Jr. put on a terrific show, complimenting each other’s skills. The match ended after Sabre Jr. followed up his signature Penalty Kick move, with an arm bar to make Webster tap out.
But all is not well with WWE Cruiserweight Classic competitor Zack Sabre Jr., he suffered an injury this weekend in Germany and as a result Sabre had to cancel his appearances at Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and PWX Wrestling.
‘’The British Master’’ Zack Sabre Jr. was set to defend his Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Championship against ‘’Unbreakable’’ Michael Elgin this Friday in Reseda, California at PWG Prince. Sabre won the title by defeating Roderick Strong via submission at PWG All-Star Weekend 12 Night Two on March 5, 2016. PWG announced today via Twitter that Sabre Jr. will be replaced by New Japan sensation Kamaitachi, who now headlines PWG Prince against Elgin.
