WWE News: WWE Hall of Famer deemed incompetent to stand trial for murder
In 2015, WWE Hall of Famer, Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka was arrested and indicted on third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter charges of his girlfriend Nancy Argentino, which occurred in 1983. Till date, Snuka has plead not guilty and the trial is still under process.
After his arrest, it was revealed that he was suffering from dementia due to wrestling-related injuries. His attorney informed several reporters that he will be unfit for future trials. It is reported by dailywrestlingnews.com, that a judge in Lehigh Valley, PA ruled today that WWE Legend Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka is not suitable to be in a trial in this case.
Apparently, a new hearing will be held in 6 months to re-evaluate his competency but Snuka’s lawyers argued that his condition won’t be any better, and it may worsen with time. A local reporter Sarah Cassi tweeted about the story :
@SarahCassi new hearing in 6 months to re-evaluate competency. Defense said it will only get worse.

As soon as the news of Snuka’s arrest went viral, WWE suspended his Legends contract with the company (a deal to make rare, non-wrestling appearances ). The official website of WWE, also removed Snuka’s name from the Hall of Famer’s list.
