WWE News: WWE Hall OF Famer out of the hospital after recovering from months-long illness
WWE Hall Of Famer George "The Animal" Steele has finally been discharged after spending more than 105 days in the hospital. He conveyed the message to his fans via the following tweet:
It's notable here that the 79-year-old Hall of Farmer has been dealing with kidney issues from quite sometimes now and he was admitted to hospital due to the same reason.
Making his in-ring debut in 1967, Steele was quickly hired by WWE (then WWF) due to his intense in-ring style and savage physique. After his debut, George soon started feuding with the legendary Bruno Sammartino which tells how high WWE officials were on the Hall of Famer that time.
However, Steele’s signing was criticized by many people due to the fact that he wasn't a trained wrestler and had little background in wrestling. He was also often targeted by fans saying that his in-ring style included as little wrestling as possible.
Still, The Animal managed to have a 21-year long wrestling career being one of the prominent faces for WWE during the ‘80s before he finally retired in 1988.
