What's the story?

It has been a rough 24 hours for WWE Hall of Famer, Kurt Angle. An initial report first broke out stating that Angle's 16-year-old niece was apparently abducted on Wednesday night before being eventually rescued by the police the very same day.

In case you didn't know...

In late 2018, Angle competed in numerous high-profile singles matches.

He was sent home by Stephanie McMahon after a General Manager stint.

Angle would then return at WWE Crown Jewel in a losing effort against Dolph Ziggler before competing on Monday Night Raw for the very first time since 2006, losing to Drew McIntyre in a match.

Angle would once again return at TLC to help Braun Strowman, along with Apollo Crews, Chad Gable, Bobby Roode, Finn Balor, and referee Heath Slater beat Baron Corbin and strip him of authoritative power.

And the next night on Raw, Angle along with Gable, Roode, and Crews, with Slater as the referee, easily defeat Corbin in a handicap-no disqualification match to prevent him from being the permanent general manager of Raw.

The heart of the matter

WWE Hall of Famer, Kurt Angle's 16-year-old niece Marjani Aquil was reportedly kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend this past Wednesday night, only to be found by the local police later. The cops found Aquil near a home at midnight.

It was noted by Wrestling Inc that officers seemingly had to force their way inside of the home and rescue Angle's niece, as she was later taken to the hospital in order to get her minor injuries treated by the doctors.

Kurt Angle later took it to his Facebook page in order to thank everyone and post an official statement.

What's next?

As of right now, Kurt Angle's return to the WWE is still uncertain. However, the bigger story here is that Angle's 16-year-old teenage niece Marjani Aquil is now back with her family and we at Sportskeeda wish her a speedy recovery.
