WWE News: WWE legend entering the WWE Royal Rumble 2019?
What's the story?
Believe it or not, 2019 is already upon us and a new year means that's its almost time for the annual WWE Royal Rumble. So far, 2 men have been confirmed for the men's Royal Rumble - Drew McIntyre and R-Truth who enters at #30 after winning the Mixed Match Challenge with Carmella.
Another person who has just teased entering the 2019 men's Royal Rumble match is WWE Legend and Olympic gold medallist Kurt Angle.
In case you didn't know...
Kurt Angle needs no introduction to WWE fans. A 6-time world champion in WWE and one of the best technical wrestlers to ever set foot inside the squared circle, Angle was named RAW General Manager in April 2017. He held the position till 2018 when Stephanie McMahon removed him from his position and named Baron Corbin as the action RAW General Manager.
Angle recently appeared at WWE TLC, helping Braun Strowman beat Baron Corbin. He wrestled the next night on RAW and beat Corbin once again after the match was turned into a handicap match - meaning that Corbin would not win the position of RAW General Manager.
The heart of the matter
Kurt Angle recently wrestled briefly at WWE TLC and on WWE RAW. He looks to be in pretty decent shape on top of it.
The WWE legend recently took to Instagram and recounted his title match against Chris Benoit at the 2003 Royal Rumble. However, what was interesting was that Angle started the post with the words "Up next..... Royal Rumble in January 2019":
What's next?
There no official word on whether Kurt Angle will enter the Royal Rumble match in January but his post certainly seems to suggest so. The 2019 WWE Royal Rumble takes place in Phoenix, Arizona on 27th January.
