WWE News: WWE Live Event in London (07/09) Results
WWE returned to London for the first time in nearly 5 months, with a live event taking place in the O2 Arena. This is the first of WWE’s international tour this week which all also see them going to Beijing, China, in what is being considered groundbreaking for WWE for their relationship with China and their entry into the Chinese market, and also they will be going to Manila, Philippines before returning to the United States on Monday for Raw.
The international tour is of the Raw brand. Here are the results of their latest London house show.
- The New Day def. Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows to retain the Raw Tag Team Championship
- Neville def. Bo Dallas
- Braun Strowman def. Goldust
- Big Show def. Shining Stars
- Cesaro def. Sheamus(4th match in Best-of-Seven Series)
- Charlotte def. Sasha Banks to retain the Raw Women’s Championship
- Roman Reigns def. Chris Jericho
- Kevin Owens def. Sami Zayn & Seth Rollins to retain the Universal Championship
There were quite a few things to note in the event. One of the foremost notable points was that after the match, Sami Zayn offered his hand to Seth Rollins, and Rollins, who is usually a heel, shook his hand without any follow-up attack, which only leads to further speculate that The Architect has indeed cemented his face turn. The triple threat match for the Universal Championship ended as follows:

Also, Sasha Banks returned to the ring just 18 days after she dropped the title at Summerslam. This was surprising as not long after Summerslam, Sasha was pulled from any appearances for the next 33 days, speculating that the newly debuting Bayley would be facing Charlotte at Clash Of Champions (Unsuccessfully, however), and then Sasha would return from injury to come and claim back the title. However, she appeared much sooner than expected. Perhaps she will wrestle minimally on television until her championship rematch at Clash Of Champions.
Another important thing to note is that Cesaro defeated Sheamus, in what was a continuation of their Best-of-Seven series. Prior to the event, the Swiss Superman was 3-0 down, and would have lost the series had he lost this bout. However, he won, making the score 3-1.
