The Hounds are back!
The Hounds are back!

What's the story?

With The Shield officially reuniting for the one final time on Raw this week, WWE has now confirmed that The Hounds of Justice will be back in action for the first time since 2018, as the trio gets set for a massive six-man tag team match at Fastlane.

In case you didn't know...

The Shield's last reunion ended on the 22nd of October when former Universal Champion, Roman Reigns revealed his battle with leukemia. On the very same night, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins would go on to win the Raw Tag Team Championships, however, Ambrose would end the night by turning his back on 'The Architect'.

Following Roman Reigns' return to Raw last week, there has been a lot of teasing regarding The Shield possibly reuniting the one final time and tonight on Raw, Reigns and Rollins finally convinced Ambrose to reunite the band one last time before 'The Lunatic Fringe' leaves WWE for good.

The heart of the matter

The Shield has now officially reunited on Raw in what is said to be their final run in the company, as Dean Ambrose is reportedly on his way out of the WWE after WrestleMania 35.

With Reigns, Rollins, and Ambrose now joining forces with each other in their battle against the trio of Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre, WWE has now confirmed a mega six-man tag team match between the two groups for Fastlane.

As officially announced on Twitter, this will seemingly be The Shield's final match together in WWE, as The Hounds of Justice prepare themselves to get into a battle with the menacing trio of Lashley, McIntyre, and Corbin.

What's next?

Fastlane takes place on the 10th of March and with the addition of The Shield, the PPV now promises to be better than ever. If the reports indeed turn out to be true, this will be Dean Ambrose's final match in WWE and it'll indeed be a sad farewell to The Shield as well.

Nevertheless, an exciting six-man tag team match to look forward to and hey, this will also mark Roman Reigns' first match on Raw since his return.
