WWE News: WWE Network subscribers surprisingly get three months additional subscription
What’s the story?
As reported by PWInsider, the WWE accidentally sent out an email to its Network subscribers; wherein it was insinuated that they were eligible for a free month on the same.
However, WWE later sent a follow-up email to the aforementioned subscribers which said that the first email was erroneous, and meant to be directed solely towards people who are yet to subscribe to the WWE Network.
In case you didn’t know…
The WWE Network was launched in February of 2014, and is now available in several countries worldwide.
The vast majority of industry insiders and fans alike have directed considerable praise towards the WWE Network for its excellent service and rich content, which gives fans access to everything right from classic matches to current shows.
The heart of the matter
The WWE provides a free 1-month trial for non-subscribers in order to attract them to purchase a subscription to the WWE Network. However, once a person subscribes they have to pay a monthly fee to retain their membership.
Apparently, several subscribers who’ve been using the WWE Network, received an email, informing them that they’re now eligible for a month of free content from the Network. Nevertheless, the follow-up email from WWE clarified the situation. Below are a few excerpts from the second email—
“As you may know, all new subscribers to WWE Network receive their first month free. We recently sent you an email in error promoting this free trial.”
“We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Thank you for being a WWE Network subscriber and we hope you enjoy Survivor Series tomorrow night."
What’s next?
The WWE Network continues to provide fans hassle-free service and original content much to the delight of fans the world over. The promotion has clarified that the free 1-month trial is still applicable only to potential new subscribers and not old members.
Author’s take
The WWE Network provides fans a great experience and is a stroke of genius from the Vince McMahon-helmed company.
A small goof-up like this is not a big deal, and the quickness with which the error was rectified just goes to show how great of a company WWE really is.
