WWE News: WWE sued by 50 former wrestlers in brain injury lawsuit
Concussion-gate just manifested itself as the WWE’s worst nightmare all over again.
A list comprising the names of 50 former employees has been compiled, all of whom are pointing the finger at the WWE for hiding the long-term effects of head injuries from them, reports wrestlingnewssource.co.
The lawsuit is said to accuse the WWE of being negligent when it comes to dealing with head trauma “in any medically competent or meaningful manner" and in promptly informing their employees about long-term neurological injuries appropriately.
With the WWE taking extra precaution of late when it comes to head-related injuries by retiring performers such as Daniel Bryan and completely banning moves that target the head region, this comes as a rude blast from the past for the company.
As reported by Pro Wrestling Sheets, the lawsuit includes names such as Paul Orndoff, Road Warrior Animal, Marty Jannetty, Chavo Guerrero and Jimmy Snuka to name a few.
It is also worth noting that Jimmy Snuka has been convicted for the murder of former girlfriend Nancy Argentino, but has been declared as medically unfit to stand trial due to dementia.
