WWE News: WWE Superstar responds to Asuka's tweet after losing SmackDown Women's title
What's the story?
WWE Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura recently responded to Asuka's tweet after her loss to Charlotte Flair.
Nakamura kept it subtle, saying "not yet".
In case you didn't know. . .
This week on SmackDown Live, the Fatal Four-Way #1 contender's match was scrapped at the last moment. Instead, we got Charlotte challenging Asuka for her SmackDown Women's Title. In the shocker of the night, Charlotte went on to make Asuka tap out and win the blue brand's Women's title.
The Queen is now heading towards WrestleMania's main event as the SmackDown Women's Champion. After her loss to Charlotte, Asuka posted a tweet, stating a single word: 'Over'.
This tweet stirred up rumours of Asuka's departure from WWE and a string of Superstars chimed in to support Asuka after her loss. As of now, Asuka is not slated for a match at WrestleMania.
The heart of the matter
Shinsuke Nakamura, who himself has gone from being in a marquee WWE title match at WrestleMania 34, to being an afterthought on Tuesday nights, replied to Asuka's tweet.
Nakamura stated: "Not yet", leading to the fans on social media hailing him for being positive about the situation and supporting Asuka.
What's next?
The Empress of Tomorrow was one of the hottest commodities in WWE last year, winning the inaugural Women's Royal Rumble match and challenging Charlotte for the Women's Title at WrestleMania 34. Charlotte broke Asuka's streak at The Show of Shows and thus began her downfall.
Asuka will most likely be relegated to the WrestleMania women's battle royal match, now that she has lost her title at the last moment.
