What's the story?
16 years after the terror attacks on September 11, 2001, which changed the world forever, WWE stars reflected on the tragedy on Twitter, and the effect it had on the United States of America.
In case you didn't know....
After the tragedy of 9/11, SmackDown was the first public gathering of its size and was broadcast live. It started with a speech by Vince McMahon as he talked about a united, proud nation. The soul stirring anthem was sung by Lilian Garcia on the show, and it drew many goosebumps and tears as she herself almost broke down while singing the song.
The heart of the matter
16 years after the tragedy WWE Superstars paid their respects to the those that were lost with the message of "Never Forget". They took to twitter to express their feelings on a day that changed the way everyone travelled and thought about the world.
