WWE News: WWE Women's Champion Charlotte about to set new record

After becoming the inaugural WWE Women’s Champion

Charlotte has silenced many critics after her dominant performance as WWE Women’s Champion and the Divas Champion, after winning the gold from Nikki Bella at Night of Champions 2015. This Sunday, at WWE Extreme Rules pay per view, she will take on the challenger to her crown Natalya, in a Submission match for the Championship.

As unveiled by Reddit user Falcon Arrow, Charlotte will be establishing a new record this Sunday, as she will be appearing in her 11th consecutive WWE pay per view. Wrestlinginc.com confirms that no women wrestler in WWE history before has achieved the distinction.

Her match at Extreme Rules has a stipulation that bans her father, 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair from ringside. Last RAW, during the official contract signing of the match, Stephanie McMahon made it clear that if Flair interferes, Charlotte will be forced to forfeit her Women’s Championship.

Before Extreme Rules, Natalya and Charlotte wrestled each other at WWE Payback and also at WWE Roadblock. It is interesting to note that Charlotte defeated Natalya in a match in NXT to win the vacant NXT Women’s Championship, the belt she retained for more than 250 days.
