But former WWE Superstar X-Pac has explained The Undertaker's latest move.
In case you didn't know...
The Undertaker hasn't featured on WWE television since the Crown Jewel show last year when he teamed up with Kane to face against Shawn Michaels and Triple H.
He hasn't been featured since but has been making appearances away from the WWE, including interviews and fan fests. The Undertaker changed his bio on social media, which now has an email id for booking and business inquiries, which led to many fans believing that he has quit WWE.
The heart of the matter
X-Pac explained why The Undertaker made this move, and that 'Taker is going down the route that former WWE Superstars also went down when they wanted to make appearances outside of WWE.
“If anyone ever followed Shawn Michaels on social media before he took the job back at the Performance Center it was a similar situation. Shawn was taking outside appearances; I did appearances with him. For independent wrestling shows, the catch was it has to be separate, the appearance has to be separate, it’s not part of the wrestling show. So, I am pretty sure that’s what it’s going to be for Taker too," said X-Pac. (H/T WrestlingInc for the transcription)
He further explained, "In that way, if it just so happens that you end up at an appearance connected to an independent promotion that might be less up to snuff product-wise. Then you're not seen as endorsing this show. You're in and out before the show even starts."
What's next?
The Undertaker will make three appearances at the Inside The Ropes event later this year, which have all been sold out.
