WWE News: Xavier Woods provides update on his injury
What's the story?
Xavier Woods provided an update on his knee injury from Monday's Live Event. Sescoops reported that the situation could have been a lot worse than it is. However, Xavier Woods has now given an update on his injury.
In case you didn't know....
Xavier Woods suffered a serious injury on Monday's Live Event, and things looked to be serious.
The injury was confirmed with Woods carrying around an 'It's sore' placard while he wore a knee brace and used crutches to get around on Smackdown.
The heart of the matter
Xavier Woods underwent a thorough medical exam backstage on Tuesday. WWE's medical sprain confirmed that the injury was just a sprain of the MCL. Woods went to Twitter to confirm that he will attend the Dragon Con Fest in Atlanta, GA.
He also confirmed the same on his YouTube channel UpUpDownDown.
What's next?
The injury not being an extremely serious one is brilliant news for Woods. While his in ring wrestling return date is not confirmed yet, after Cass's injury this one must have relieved officials backstage.
Author's take
Woods is not a person who will let himself be sidelined by injury, and even if he is not wrestling he will probably be ringside for most of the matches of New Day with Francesca 2. The injury definitely looked much more serious than it is, and the fans and Woods himself will be hoping for an in ring return sooner rather than later.
