WWE News: Xavier Woods reacts to Hell In A Cell loss
What's the story?
In case you missed it, Xavier Woods and Big E just put on what can only be described as one of the best ever Hell In A Cell matches in history against Jimmy and Jey Uso but unfortunately, the New Day lost their tag team titles.
In case you didn't know...
The rivalry between SmackDown LIVE's two top tag teams the New Day and The Usos had reached a breaking point which was why Kofi, Xavier and Big E decided to challenge the Usos to a title match inside the Hell in a Cell structure. It would be the first time a tag team match would take place inside a HIAC.
The heart of the matter
Seriously if you do one thing today, check out the incredible Hell In a Cell match that opens WWE's Hell In a Cell 2017 pay-per-view. It was brutal, it was innovative and it was an absolutely perfect way to open a pay-per-view.
The match ended when Xavier Woods, who was handcuffed, got absolutely torn apart by multiple kendo stick shots and then got downed by a huge double frog splash from the Usos.
Here's how Xavier Woods reacted to the loss
What's next?
It's hard to imagine The New Day without the tag-team titles but that's exactly what we're going to have to do. It'll be interesting to see what happens on SmackDown LIVE because it's clear from his tweet that Xavier Woods blames himself for the loss. Will the rest of the New Day agree with him, or will they rally together?
Author's Take
One thing Woods certainly doesn't need to be sorry for is being responsible for a terrific Hell In a Cell match. I really can't stress how good and entertaining this match was. Easily, the best post-PG Hell In a Cell we've seen.
