WWE/NJPW News: Bullet Club members Tama Tonga and Bad Luck Fale react to Finn Balor vs AJ Styles
What’s the story?
Following the gruelling match at the TLC pay-per-view, both AJ Styles and Finn Balor received high praises from Bullet Club members Tama Tonga and Bad Luck Fale on the social media.
Both Tonga and Fale took it to Twitter and expressed their thoughts regarding the two men, as they showed respect to their former leaders.
In case you didn’t know…
The Bullet Club was first started by Finn Balor—then known as Prince Devitt and both Tama Tonga and Bad Luck Fale have been a part of the infamous Japanese wrestling faction since its inception back in 2013.
After Balor’s departure from NJPW, the Bullet Club was taken over by noone other than AJ Styles who became the leader of the group in 2014 and worked alongside Tonga and Fale during his two years in the Japanese company.
The heart of the matter
Tama Tonga and Bad Luck Fale are two of the few members of Bullet Club history who can proudly say that they have worked alongside both Balor and Styles in the faction’s four-year-long history.
On 22nd October, both Fale and Tonga decided to pay their respect to both their former leaders, after AJ and Balor wrestled each other to an amazing match at the TLC pay-per-view that saw Balor reign supreme over Styles. After the bout, both Balor and Styles shared a ‘Too Sweet’ gesture in the middle of the ring.
Tama Tonga tweeted out by saying that both Balor and Styles are “Keeping it Too Sweet” and labelled both men as “Bullet Club loyal”. Fale on the other hand also showed his love and respect towards his former compatriots via his official Twitter handle.
What’s next?
For both Balor and AJ, it seems likely that they will now head towards the bigger picture and are likely to chase the Universal Title and the WWE Title respectively.
As far as Tama Tonga and Bad Luck Fale are concerned, both of them continue to work for NJPW and are still a part of the Bullet Club.
Tama Tonga is currently a part of a tag team with his brother Tanga Loa— known as the Guerillas of Destiny and are currently feuding with War Machine and Killer Elite Squad over the IWGP Tag Team Titles. Fale, on the other hand, continues to work as the Bullet Club’s “Underboss”.
Author’s Take
Despite both AJ and Balor leaving NJPW a long time ago, it is great to see them having such a strong relationship with their former Bullet Club members. It was also a nice to witness Tonga and Fale paying their respects towards both Balor and Styles, after their match at TLC.
