WWE/NJPW News: Road Dogg congratulates The Young Bucks
What's the story?
Following their massive victory at Wrestle Kingdom 12, the Young Bucks were elated. Matt Jackson went to Twitter and put up a post, commemorating their journey of teaming up and rising to the very top of professional wrestling.
Former WWE Superstar and the brains behind SmackDown Live, Road Dogg, would comment on the same, congratulating the duo. This is what he had to say, about the said picture.
In case you didn't know...
The Young Bucks took on Roppongi 3 K in the first match of Wrestle Kingdom 12. They kickstarted proceedings as only they can, putting on a match of a lifetime as they traded moves and holds with the reigning champions.
The Bucks would pick up a victory by submission, and capture their coveted IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.
The heart of the matter
It is a well-known fact that Road Dogg is a second generation Superstar. He is the son of 'Bullet' Bob Armstrong. What is not very well known is the fact that he has three brothers and all of them are wrestlers too. Their actual names are Joseph, Robert and Steve James.
You may all recognize Joseph Scott James, who is one of WWE's most popular referees, at this very moment. His 'referee name' is Scott Armstrong.
While Road Dogg hasn't really teamed up with any of his brothers in a proper capacity, like the Young Bucks have, he values the time they've spent as a unit.
The Tweet sent out by Matt Jackson brought those feelings back!
What's next?
As the Bucks eye world domination, Road Dogg will attempt to take SmackDown Live to the next level creatively, in the weeks that follow.
Author's take
Road Dogg is an emotional man. If you watched 'Legends with JBL' guest starring him, you certainly know what we mean.
It's great to see just how active he is on social media and how much he's apace with the rest of the sports entertainment world, outside WWE as well!
