WWE/NJPW News: Tama Tonga reveals which WWE superstars he would like to have in The Bullet Club
What's the story?
Within the past few months, there has been a huge shift in powers in The Bullet Club, as not only did the group welcome the likes of Jay White, Gedo, and Jado into the faction but also saw the departure of The Elite.
With the likes of Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks now focusing on their own wrestling promotion, All Elite Wrestling, Bullet Club OG Tama Tonga feels that there are definitely a few WWE superstars he would like to have in The BC in order to fill the void left by The Elite.
In case you didn't know...
The first sign of dissension within The Bullet Club began earlier last year when 'The American Nightmare' Cody Rhodes, along with the help of Hangman Page and Marty Scurll brutally attacked then-Bullet Club leader Kenny Omega.
Cody's attack eventually led to a Civil War within The BC, as both him and Kenny Omega, who by this point was reunited with Kota Ibushi, led their separate sides on several occasions in both New Japan and ROH soil as well.
However, at NJPW's G1 Special in San Francisco, following Omega's first successful IWGP Heavyweight Title defense against Cody, 'The Best Bout Machine' along with The Young Bucks were attacked by the Tongan trio of Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, and Haku.
This eventually led to the reunion between Cody and Omega, as The Elite were finally on the same page once again before eventually announcing their departure from The Bullet Club once and for all.
The heart of the matter
While recently speaking with Wrestling Inc during the latest edition of The WINCLY, Bullet Club OG Tama Tonga noted that he definitely feels that a few superstars from WWE would definitely be a good fit into The Bullet Club, such as the likes of The Revival.
Tama noted that both Dash and Dawson have already proved themselves to be strong workers and interestingly enough, he also decided to bring up their names after they had reportedly requested their release from the WWE.
"There's a lot of talent, especially ones making a splash. Guys are wanting to leave certain companies… The Revival – those guys have piqued an interest. Those guys are great workers and I always watch their stuff…"
In addition, Tama also spoke about the former members who are now part of the WWE roster. 'The Good Guy' claimed that he is still in contact with the likes of Finn Balor, AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows, who were all once a major part of The Bullet Club.
"I've sent messages to [AJ Styles and Finn Balor]. I've sent messages to Karl, Doc Gallows. Those are our friends. Those are our brothers. We see what they're doing and we wish them well. Always love there."
Tama also gave his opinion on WWE's version of The Club, if he would welcome Balor, Styles, Anderson, and Gallows back to The Bullet Club and you can check out the entire interview here.
What's next?
Tama Tonga is currently focused on his work with New Japan Pro Wrestling where he remains as one of the biggest parts' of The Bullet Club and with Jay White currently leading the group from the front, chances are that 'The Switchblade' might just bring back the IWGP Heavyweight Title to the BC once again.
