What's the story?

While recently speaking with the Sporting News in an exclusive interview, Matt and Nick Jackson- The Young Bucks spoke about their relationship with former WWE Champion and current UFC superstar, CM Punk.

In case you didn't know...

Ever since CM Punk's departure from the WWE, the Young Bucks have been seemingly teasing a potential jump to the Bullet Club for CM Punk.

In addition, Matt and Nick Jackson have also previously taken to social media on numerous occasions in order to tease a potential CM Punk appearance at their upcoming All In event, which is being self-financed by Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks and will take place in Punk's hometown of Chicago.

The heart of the matter

During their interview with Sporting News, The Young Bucks noted that despite CM Punk's complete departure from the wrestling industry, The Bucks and Punk still maintain a pretty healthy relationship with each other. (H/T: Wrestling Inc)

Matt Jackson claimed that he and CM Punk still text message each other on a regular basis and the two men usually discuss a lot about Pro Wrestling.

"I will say this: I text message Punk on a weekly basis. We're good friends. We talk wrestling. He still loves wrestling, of course, he does. We're pro wrestlers. That's what we do. Even when you quit or retire or whatever, it's still in your blood."- Matt Jackson.

Additionally, brother Nick also stated that he is a huge fan of both Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, but, as of right now, he thinks that there is absolutely no need whatsoever for either Bryan or Punk to compete at the forthcoming All In event.

"Hell yeah I would like those guys [Punk and Daniel Bryan]. Those names would be icing on the cake. … But I don't think we need them to get to 10,000. With the card we have in mind, I think that should do it."- Nick Jackson.

What's next?

CM Punk's next UFC fight will take place on the 9th of June at UFC 225 in Chicago, Illinois.

Author's Take

Being a huge CM Punk and Bullet Club fan, I'd absolutely love to see Punk join the BC some point down the road and eventually make his return to Pro Wrestling.

Punk would definitely be a great addition to the BC as part of the Ring of Honor roster, where CM Punk initially broke out as a big superstar and a future in NJPW would also be pretty amazing.
