WWE NXT Great American Bash Night 2 Results: CM Punk and Randy Orton announced; heartbreaking betrayal; Joe Hendry status revealed
We got a recap of last week's show before Night 2 of WWE NXT Great American Bash kicked off. The first match was between Pete Dunne and Trick Williams.

WWE NXT Great American Bash Night 2 Results: Trick Williams vs. Pete Dunne
Dunne tried for a submission movie early on, but Trick turned it into a big powerbomb. Williams got a neckbreaker for a near fall before the two traded chops in the middle of the ring.
Trick got another near fall off a big kick before Dunne countered into a powerbomb and stomped on his face. Trick got back up and got an uppercut but missed the knee strike. Dunne hit the Bitter End before picking up the win.
Result: Pete Dunne def. Trick Williams

We got footage from Hank and Tank's barbeque. After Lexis King and Eddy Thorpe fought over the music, Mr. Stone and Stevie Turner got into a chicken wing eating competition.
It was announced that CM Punk and Randy Orton will appear in the October 1 and 8 episodes of NXT, respectively, as the show moves to the CW Network.
WWE NXT Great American Bash Night 2 Results: Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Tatum Paxley - NXT Women’s North American Championship match
The champ was in control early on and got a takedown and a leg drop before sending Paxley to the outside.
After a break, Paxley got a figure four leglock, but Jordan escaped and hit a sunset flip for a near fall.
Wendy Choo showed up at ringside before the champ missed a big moonsault. Paxley got the 450 splash, but Kelani returned with a Spanish Fly and hit the frog splash for the win.
Result: Kelani Jordan def. Tatum Paxley to retain the Women’s North American Championship
After the match, Wendy Choo took Tatum Paxley out and stared down the champ.
Grade: B
Wren Sinclair was still trying to join the No Quarter Catch Crew, but Charlie Dempsey was not having it.
Tony D'Angelo and the Family walked up to them, and The Don said that if Wren won her match tonight, the NQCC could get another shot at the Heritage Cup.
Pete Dunne and Trick Williams got into a brawl backstage, and officials came in to stop them.
WWE NXT Great American Bash Night 2 Results: Ethan Page (c) vs. Oro Mensah - NXT Championship match
Page started strong and got some big strikes in before Oro took him down with a Rana and hit a big kick. The champ came back with a near fall, but a distraction from Meta-Four allowed Oro to send him outside and hit a big kick through the ropes.
Oro caught Page with a big kick on the ropes and sent him outside before hitting a dive. In the ring, Oro got a near fall off a kick before hitting a springboard dropkick. Page was knocked outside and tried to escape before slamming Oro into one of the picnic tables.
Page put Oro through the picnic table with the Ego's Edge before getting a DDT in the ring for the near fall. Oro got another near fall off the spinning heel kick before Page returned with the Ego's Edge for the win.
Result: Ethan Page def. Oro Mensah to retain the NXT Championship

Wes Lee and The Rascalz were backstage and said they were looking forward to tonight's tag title match.
WWE NXT Great American Bash Night 2 Results: Joe Hendry vs. Joe Coffey
Hendry hit a dive to the outside before the bell and took Gallus down before heading back to the ring to start the match. Coffey got a big uppercut before Hendry sent him outside.
Gallus dragged Hendry to the outside, and the newcomer lay down on the announce desk and handed Gallus a steel chair, making the referee think that they were about to attack him.
This got Gallus tossed from ringside as the match continued in the ring. Hendry got a back-body drop and a fallaway slam before getting the pin.
Result: Joe Hendry def. Joe Coffey
After the match, Hendry said that fans would see him on NXT going forward, confirming that he was now a part of the roster.

In the Chase U classroom, Ridge Holland said that he and Andre Chase would challenge for tag team gold, which upset Duke Hudson.
Back at Hank and Tank's party, Shawn Spears tried to get Brooks Jensen to quit drinking, but the latter got furious and stormed off.
Mr. Stone had an idea for a multi-woman match for the women on the brand who hadn't gotten to compete yet while Hank and Tank started a brawl with The O.C.
WWE NXT Great American Bash Night 2 Results: Wren Sinclair vs. Kendal Grey
Sinclair got the early takedown and locked in a submission hold before being tossed outside the ring.
Grey got a near-fall back in the ring before Miles Borne caused a distraction, allowing Wren to get the front face slam for the win.
Result: Wren Sinclair def. Kendal Grey
Grade: C
The Young O.G. J'Evon Evans was in a promo where he talked about meeting Matt Bloom and called him Lord Tensai.
The 20-year-old star said he would grow up in front of everyone on WWE before the show continued.
Oba Femi said he had a title match next week but didn't say who would face him.
WWE NXT Great American Bash Night 2 Results: Nathan Frazer & Axiom (c) vs. MSK - NXT Tag Team Championship match
Wes and Axiom kicked off the match, and Frazer was tagged in before Lee got a near fall off a double-team move. Axiom was back in and sent MSK outside before he and Frazer hit big dives to the floor.
Back in the ring, Lee got a superkick on Axiom before getting a near fall off a big slam.
Axiom got a Spanish Fly on Wentz, and Frazer followed with the Phoenix Splash before the champs got a near fall of thier own.
The champs botched a double-team move before MSK got a near fall on Frazer. Axiom got the Golden Ratio kick before getting the pin on Lee.
Result: Nathan Frazer & Axiom def. MSK to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship

After the match, the Rascalz shook hands with the champ before helping Wes Lee up to his feet. Lee got a superkick on Miguel before taking Wentz out with a low blow. He screamed that Wentz left him alone and started hitting him with right hooks before sending him outside.
Lee put Miguel through the barricades, then got a knee strike on Wentz against the steep steps before walking off as the show went off the air.
