WWE NXT Results 20th September 2017, latest NXT winners, review and video highlights
NXT just keeps getting better by the week. This week's main-event featured O' Reilly and Fish accompanied by Adam Cole taking on Tyler Bate and Trent Seven.
Johnny Gargano vs Tino Sabatelli
We got a video package from last week after Gargano had made his entrance. After Moss' defeat last week, Sabatelli vowed that he would beat Gargano which leads to our match today.
As the match started, Sabatelli didn't show the smaller Gargano much respect and slapped him around and using his size advantage. Gargano did not look pleased with Sabatelli. He hit back with his unique punches before attempting a springboard from the apron.
Sabatelli caught Gargano in mid-air and planted him with a nasty powerslam but chose not to follow it up with a cover. Sabatelli followed it up with more trash talk but Gargano reversed his offence and manoeuvred into the Garga-No-Escape and got the win after Sabatelli tapped out.
Johnny Gargano def. Tino Sabatelli (via submission)
The look on Riddick Moss' face after Tino tapped out was priceless. Check it out if you have the time.
We're in William Regal's office after the match. Roderick Strong came in and reminded William Regal that he had beaten Bobby Roode as he had promised and now he wanted his shot at Drew McIntyre's NXT Championship.
Regal agreed and the made the match official for NXT in two weeks.
After a look back at Asuka's farewell, Sonya Deville cuts a promo saying that the reason she had never faced Asuka was that she would have broken Asuka's streak. She then signalled her intentions of winning the NXT Women's Championship.
