NXT
This week's NXT saw two HUGE announcements

With the penultimate episode before NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, there was a HUGE amount of expectation for this week's NXT. With huge announcements for the NOLA special and the continuation of the Dusty Classic, this was not to be missed!

However, if you did miss it, we've got you covered. Here's a full synopsis of last night's episode.

Before the show kicked off, Tommaso Ciampa showed up at the arena to a less than favourable reception from the WWE Universe as he got booed, jeered and heckled into the arena. Ciampa was asked how he was feeling by WWE cameras, but he declined to answer.

We then saw Ciampa speak to William Regal and ask the General Manager what kind of place he's running, telling Regal that Gargano needs to be dealt with for attacking him and showing up at his house.

We then got the announcement of a match ten months in the making, when William Regal made an "Unsanctioned Match" between Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans with incredibly high stakes.

If Gargano wins, he returns to NXT. If Ciampa wins, Gargano will never return to NXT.

Next up was an announcement that will change the landscape of NXT forever as William Regal made his way to the ring to make his big announcement.

The GM announced the introduction of a new singles title - the North American Championship.

Well, while Regal spoke about the title, out came EC3!

The former Impact Wrestling Superstar made his way to the ring, basking in the crowd's chants of "EC3" and thanked William Regal for creating a new title to hand to him on his first night - to which an "NX3" chant erupted.

William Regal interrupted to say that, while he's incredibly happy EC3 is now an NXT Superstar, "no one is handed anything in NXT" and thus announced that the title will be on the line at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans in a Ladder Match.

EC3 was told he will get his chance, though, but he'll be up against five other competitors.

We saw footage from the Performance Center as TM61 were asked about their loss in the Dusty Tag Team Classic, but we didn't get much in the way of an answer as a brawl broke out between Shayna Baszler and Ember Moon. The camera man was a casualty in the brawl too. Moon and Baszlerwill meet at TakeOver for the title.

We then saw Zelina Vega and Andrade "Cien" Almas arrive at the arena for the show.
