WWE NXT Spoilers: Former Tag-Team Champion debuts in new team during NXT tapings
What's the story?
Wesley Blake, who captured the NXT Tag-Team Championship alongside Buddy Murphy, has debuted a new tag-team with Steve Cutler during the February 1st, 2018 NXT tapings, calling themselves the Forgotten Sons.
In case you didn't know...
Wesley Blake used to be in a tag-team simplistically called Blake and Murphy, who were at one point managed by Alexa Bliss. They managed to capture the NXT Tag-Team Titles once as a team before they disbanded when Blake and Bliss abandoned Murphy in the ring after a loss.

Steve Cutler has been with NXT since 2014, believe it or not, hardly being featured in anything other than enhancement matches for other talents.
The heart of the matter
This new pair had been teaming together throughout 2017 at NXT house shows, but they made their full official debut during the February 1st, 2018 NXT tapings, complete with a new team name, matching ring gear and a nice graphic for their entrance.
Their team name The Forgotten Sons seems to be a direct reference to how both of them have been booked in NXT, with Blake simply disappearing after Blake and Murphy disbanding and Cutler being marginally used over the last four years.
After their victory against local talent at the tapings, the pair announced their participation in the Dusty Rhodes Classic, meaning that they were the ones to officially announce it. Whether that's an indication of how much stock is being put into these two is unclear.
What's next?
Well, it seems like the team will be competing in this year's Dusty Rhodes Tag-Team Classic, but they'll have their work cut out gaining momentum in a tag-team division literally overflowing with brilliant tag-teams.
Author's take
I do question the decision to debut a completely new tag-team in NXT when we already have teams like TM61, The Street Prophets and Heavy Machinery who can all be worthy tag-team champions but can't get near the title belts. Still, it's nice to see Blake and Cutler.
