Video: NXT Superstar gets injured mid-match
WWE has been cursed with injury problems since the last few months. Main eventers like Seth Rollins, John Cena and Randy Orton are already out injured coupled with superstars such as Cesaro, Alberto Del Rio and Divas like Nikki Bella also nursing minor injuries.
Add to that the long-term injuries of Daniel Bryan and Tyson Kidd have left WWE with a thin roster. WWE have made attempts to bulk up their roster by signing stars like AJ Styles but the injury woes continue.
It looks like the injury curse has been cast down on NXT as one of the top NXT stars – Tye Dillinger recently had to stop the match due to an injury at a recent Live Event in Detroit. The referee brandished the unfortunate X sign which meant that a superstar could no longer continue to match.
Tye Dillinger faced Sami Zayn and got injured during one of the spots. The injury happened when Dillinger tried to counter a vertical suplex and fell awkwardly in the ring. The referee immediately stopped the match and Dillinger was stretchered out. A fan in attendance caught in injury on camera:
It is yet to be seen what type of an injury it is and for how long will Dillinger be out.
