WWE News: NXT star flown out for treatment after injury

Kenneth Crawford was recruited by WWE last year

WWE NXT star Kenneth Crawford picked up a serious injury while facing off against Noah Kekoa on Friday during a NXT event at Citrus Spring, Florida and had to receive immediate medical attention – reports dailywrestlingnews.com.

The wrestler attempted to perform a springboard, but missed the ropes by an inch, and had a bad landing in the ring. Kekoa moved to declare his victory, after which the referee made the X call in order to direct medical attention towards Crawford.

Crawford was seen to by a WWE trainer for quite some time, before a stretcher was called for in order to extract him from the ring. The wrestler was responding to his trainers, but his arms and legs were reportedly not moving. A fan was later informed that Crawford was jetted out to receive proper medical attention.

Crawford, a former Marine, was recruited for WWE’s NXT program despite having no prior wrestling experience and is tipped for a bright future with the franchise. However, his latest injury – depending on how serious it is – might stall his progress a bit and keep him on the sidelines until he recovers.
