Samoa Joe looked to defend his NXT Championship and exorcise the Demon once and for all

NXT Takeover: The End was teased as the end of something, but it turned out more to be a new beginning. With shocking debut appearances and possibly the true beginning of the new era as far as the NXT Championship is concerned as well, here is a lowdown of how ‘The End’ paved they way for a fresh dawn.

Tye Dillinger vs Andrade “Cien” Almas

Dillinger and Almas colllide as they trade holds and run the ropes untill Almas knocks Dillinger with a drop kick. But Dillinger picks himself up as Almas poses on the rope expecting a crowd pop. They continue the back and forth action untill Dillinger catches Almas with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker but is unable to complete the pin.

Both the superstar are on the top rope but Dillinger is sent to the mat as Almas attempts a successful moonsault but is unable to score a pin. Dillinger counters back with a superkick and attempts the Tye-breaker but Almas blocks it and hits Dillinger with a double knee in the corner to pick up the win.

WINNER: ANDRADE “CIEN” ALMAS DEFEATS TYE DILLINGER
