A “Beat the clock” challenge was held on the May 19 episode of Monday Night Raw to determine the no.1 contendor for the Intercontinental Championship at the Payback pay-per-view.

Rob Van Dam emerged as the fastest among all the superstars in contention to book his title match in Chicago against IC champion Bad News Barret.
