WWE Rumours: WWE planning to make Finn Balor the first WWE Universal Champion

Hopefully, we will also see the debut of his Demon avatar at SummerSlam

A few years ago nobody would have thought a cruiserweight would main event WrestleMania but then Daniel Bryan happened, and now it looks like another wrestler falling under this lightweight category is ready to make history once again by becoming the new face of WWE.

As seen on Raw, Finn Balor, who weighs around 200 lbs, had one of the most spectacular debuts in wrestling history where he overcame not one but 4 of WWE's top superstars in two different matches which included a clean one on one victory over none other than the previously untouchable Roman Reigns.

And now, it looks like Finn Balor is set to get his name written in the books of history as the first ever WWE Universal Champion. As reported by Cagesideseats.com, the current plans are to make Finn Balor the first Universal Champion by defeating Seth Rollins at SummerSlam.

The site also reports that his win is backed by both Mr. McMahon and Triple H and since the Universal title is going to be the top price for the company's flagship show Raw, Balor's win will immediately put him in the place of the top babyface in the company.

But this is not the only evidence suggesting The former NXT Champion's emergence as the next poster boy of the company. Just a few days ago, in a rare event, WWE acknowledged the possibility of him becoming the next Face in an interview posted on WWE.com, where he was asked how he feels about these speculations.

Now, at a time where WWE has invested so much on Roman Reigns but are not in a mood of pushing him as the top babyface following his suspension, they need someone who can take the place of the former Shield member as the next person to carry the company on his shoulders.

And for all intents andpurposes, the NXT veteran looks to be in the perfect place at the perfect time.
