WWE pursuing huge indie talent for Finn Balor feud, WWE HOF update
- The WWE’s recent signing spree is seeing a continuation as they are reportedly interested in signing Lucha Underground’s Angelico and Ricochet (Prince Puma) into their ranks.
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, backstage officials of the WWE were taken by surprise when Lucha Underground(LU) announced the second season of its firebrand wrestling spectacle. The WWE were reported after three talents from LU but are more keen on Richochet who resides in Orlando and is incidentally Apollo Crews’s roommate.
They had some huge plans for Richochet as they planned on slotting him straight away into a program with NXT Champion Finn Balor, which is a big sign of how WWE views Richochet. The roadblock though is Richochet’s 7-year contract with LU where he wrestles under the moniker Prince Puma. If the second season would have been scrapped then Puma would have been in an NXT ring by now.
Prince Puma or Richochet is one of the most gifted pro wrestlers on the indy circuit as he has one of the most diverse move sets in the business. He and Neville have put on some classic matches and if you want to see the full potential of Puma, make it a point to watch LU. WWE would be trying the level best to land Richochet in the NXT ring in spite of his LU contract.
- Who would be the next to be inducted in the WWE HOF is always a talking point and if the speculations are to be believed, The Fabulous Freebirds are set to be inducted into the prestigious HOF. It is because the Freebirds have strong ties in Dallas, the venue for WM 32 and also the fact that Michael “PS’ Hayes is till a part of the WWE.
