WWE Monday Night RAW: 27th January, 2014 - Superstar ratings
As expected the WWE pulled off an interesting Raw this week and carried on the momentum they built from the Royal Rumble. There was plenty of action both inside and outside the ring while the fans were going rampant about Daniel Bryan. The creative was seen in a desperate struggle to fend off the angry chants from fans that were unhappy about the booking that Bryan got at the Rumble. And to a point they tried to do so by putting Bryan inside the Elimination chamber.
Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar was seen destructive once again while there was a showdown between the Wyatt family and Shield. It was nothing short of excellence from the creative team, so let’s take a look at how the superstars gained foot in the show with the Superstar ratings.
Fandango- 3/10
Fandango was embarrassed by El Torito at the Royal Rumble and his luck didn’t change in Raw too as he took the fall to R-Truth. A boring match with nothing expect Summer Rae to look at, many wouldn’t even remember that something like this happened on Raw. The loss doesn’t do anything good for the Ball Room Dancer as he seems to take the slip down every week.
R-Truth- 3/10
It’s still a mystery as to why the creative decides to put a veteran like R-Truth into matches like this. There weren’t minimum heat in the match and the in ring action also disappointed. The win doesn’t do anything good for the superstar and the only thing that we got from it was that Xavier Woods might be injured.
The Miz- 4.5/10
So is Miz a face or a heel? Or is the WWE done with the face-heel division? Well it certainly looks like that. Because heels like Roman Reigns and Antonio Cesaro are getting all the cheers in the world while the crowd boo Batista and John Cena. But as for Miz he gets the cheers one day and jeers on the next.
A loss against Ziggler adds salt to the wound and there’s nothing more needed to be said about that. A potential feud with Wade Barrett lurks around the corner which might be interesting to see.
The Rhodes Brothers- 5/10
The Rhodes Brothers have all of a sudden turned out to look less relevant after dropping the titles. They’re match with the New Age Outlaws wasn’t up to their regular standards and the beating they took at the end didn’t help either. The creative needs to do something with the duo as a feud with eachother seem like the best option.
