WWE Raw: 3 things we are glad did not happen on this week's episode (January 28, 2019)

This week's Raw was filled with more surprises than we got out of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

The night started with one Royal Rumble winner cutting a promo, and later had the other Rumble winner laying down a challenge.

This allowed the fans to forgive the creative for some bad segments in the episode, as they got to see a lot in one night, getting their money's worth.

Even though that was the case, there were a few bookings we are glad did not happen during the episode, which could have surely affected the superstars or the fans.

Take a look at three things we are thankful WWE did not pull off on this week's Raw, and share your favorite moments from the show in the comments section!

#3 Drew McIntyre or Braun Strowman lose cleanly

Drew McIntyre was being built as an unstoppable force, but has surely hit a roadblock. He was unpinned for a long time before Dolph Ziggler pinned him, and since then he has started to fall down a bit.

McIntyre was also not very impressive in the Royal Rumble, and WWE gave Strowman preference in making him the last man to get eliminated.

On the other hand, Strowman is also losing out on his value and importance, which is surely hurting the superstar's overall image.

Raw finally reignited the angle between these two men after months, at a time when it seemed they had no direction for both monsters.

While either man losing the match would have seriously done a lot of damage to their image without increasing the other man's value too much, it was good to see the match end in a disqualification to take the storyline into another angle.

While we were waiting for the McIntyre and Strowman rivalry to begin, we are glad the first bout ended in a disqualification.
