WWE RAW: 5 things we learned from this week’s episode (January 28, 2019)
The night after Royal Rumble is always almost as exciting as the Rumble itself, as we get to see some interesting angles take place to build on the road to WrestleMania.
This year things were no different as Raw opened up to the man who won the men’s Royal Rumble match, as he took the stage to talk about his accomplishment.
Things went high and low throughout the night after that, as we saw some good matches and promos eclipsed by some bad bookings.
While we are glad Balor might be getting into contention for a championship once again, it was puzzling to see The Revival face The Major Brothers.
Kurt Angle put up another bad performance, which did little to help push Baron Corbin forward, while Raw finally remembered that it had ignited a rivalry between McIntyre and Strowman a few months ago.
One of the highlights of the night was the match between Ronda Rousey and Bayley which was followed by an uninvited guest from SmackDown Live.
There were many things we learned from the first show after Royal Rumble, so take a look at 5 of the biggest things we learned from this week’s episode of Raw.
#5 Seth Rollins is the crazy Iron Man
Seth Rollins is crazy. Absolutely crazy.
Rollins entered the Royal Rumble at the #10 spot, and lasted for 43 minutes to win the match. During this time, he went through a lot of physical torture, and was even put through the announce table by Bobby Lashley.
We expected Rollins to show up the next day to cut a promo on Raw, but that’s not all he did.
Just 24 hours later, Rollins cut a promo, then had a physical match with Dean Ambrose where he was the victor, and then took a hell of a beating at the hands of Brock Lesnar to close out the night.
No one in their wildest dreams could have expected Rollins to do all that in just 24 hours, but the Iron Man of WWE does not shy away from being a workhorse, and once again proved that he is one of a kind.
