WWE: Goldust to face Randy Orton on RAW this week

Goldust aka Dustin Rhodes will be returning to RAW this week and face Randy Orton in a match that could change the future of his brother. After Cody Rhodes was fired on RAW last week, Goldust went out on Twitter saying WWE hated the Rhodes and was upset about his brother being fired.

He tweeted the following.

But with Triple H‘s latest avatar, a blatant negative comment never goes unnoticed and unattended to. Brad Maddox, after discussion with Triple H, tweeted the following on his twitter page.

Since @DUSTIN_RHODES1 has asked how he can help his brother. I’ve confirmed w/ @TripleH to allow him to compete against @RandyOrton on #RAW

If @DUSTIN_RHODES1 wins and @CodyRhodesWWE apologizes, he gets his job back. So bring your paint cause it’s Goldust vs Orton monday

RAW for the past two weeks has been quite repetitive, despite a few segments such as Cody’s firing. With such a match on the card for RAW, one can expect a lot of new twists in the storyline.

Also, it is mentioned by Maddox that if Goldust manages to win and Cody apologizes, then we might get to see Cody back again. Though the prospect of Goldust winning looks extremely less, there is a possibility we might get to see Daniel Bryan interfere during the match and prove to be a pain in the back for Orton and Triple H.

Irrespective of the outcome, this seems an interesting move by WWE and let’s hope they do not make a mess of it.
