WWE RAW: June 15, 2015 - 5 promising developments

A pay-per-view that featured a touching tribute to Dusty Rhodes, a classic for the ages between Owens and Cena and another great chapter in the rivalry between Rollins and Ambrose, Raw was palpable with the much reported Brock Lesnar return. It set in motion things slowly but steadily, much like what Triple H likes.

There were not many blockbuster moments in this show, which is okay. You need to give that slow, burning move to something explosive. This Raw was a fresh start from an entertaining PPV and it did well for the most part.

Here are the 5 promising developments from this week’s Raw:

Ambrose is here to stay

Not going anywhere, anytime soon.

For so long in the past one year, Ambrose has been one of the hottest acts in the company. Once his feud with Seth Rollins took a break in October after Hell In A Cell, he was not involved in any meaningful storylines.

It was more about how crazy, wild and different his character can be. Finally, this year WWE is keeping him where he truly belongs- the main event. He’s still eyeing that title he hasn’t technically won yet and that may be the biggest sign of relief for all Ambrose fans.

He will make it and that journey is worth watching.

P.S. His pep talk with Kane might have consequences.

An NXT call up soon?

The Bellas vs Paige

The Bella Twins are the best heels of the Divas division in the main roster. Paige has been going on about how their influence has been responsible for the deterioration of the division, taking the focus away from wrestling to looks. Nobody in the division right now is willing to help Paige as everyone thinks that she’s upto no good, she has vested interests.

The Bellas faced Paige in a handicap match and won, signifying that as long as Paige takes on any Bella, she’s going to be stranded alone and lose again and again.

This can only mean that somebody may make their way to team up with Paige. Will that be somebody from NXT? Can it be The Nature Girl Charlotte?

The Roman Reigns Project

Reigns begins his new feud with Bray Wyatt

It’s welcoming that Reigns hasn’t been permanantly pushed into the main event scene, that he’s still working his way up by proving himself in the upper- mid card. It’s helpful that he didn’twin Money In The bank as he was expected to. And it seems even better that instead of going the heel route, WWE is sticking with him being babyface.

Bray Wyatt may be the perfect heel for Reigns.

The creepy, eerie tone to this character and the inclusion of Roman Reigns’ daughter in the mix may be jarring but something interesting if executed well.
