WWE RAW: Locker Room Talk – July 22, 2013
The backstage area has played an important role in the WWE over the years. From earth shattering interviews to backstage brawls, they have been an integral part of the wrestling world.
So, we bring to you WWE RAW ‘locker room’, an article that highlights all the backstage segments on your favourite show:
1) Booker T and Teddy Long
Former SmackDown GM’s Booker T and Teddy Long are asked about how they feel after being dethroned by Vicky Guerrero. Booker T says that he respects Mr McMahon’s decision.
However, Teddy isn’t too happy with the idea and talks about all the sacrifices he’s done in Booker’s absence and how he got mistreated last week.
The segment ends with both parties disagreeing with each other as Long storms away.
2) Ryback and Josh Mathews
Ryback, based on all his past actions, is asked by Josh if he enjoys intimidating others. Ryback responds in affirmative as he likens Josh to the WWE universe calling them ‘average people’.
He says he hates average and that he is a large predator that needs to eat constantly. He also says that average people deserve to be intimidated, as the segment ends.
3) John Cena and Daniel Bryan
John Cena visits Daniel Bryan’s locker room and talks to Bryan about how Brad Maddox may be influenced into making his decisions as a GM.
Bryan assures Cena that he’s got everything under control and that he really appreciates Cena picking him as an opponent for SummerSlam.
Bryan also tells Cena not to interfere in any of his matches, and that he will prove his worth tonight. The segment ends with an amused look on Cena’s face.
4) Brad Maddox and Triple H
Triple H tells Brad Maddox about how doubting Daniel Bryan’s capability is so absurd. He tells Maddox not to get influenced by Mr. McMahon and that Bryan could be the future of the WWE.
He also sternly tells the GM to follow him, as he is the future rather than being influenced by the yesteryear’s Mr McMahon, indicating a difference of opinion.
As Triple H exits, Maddox is approached by Stephanie who sympathises with his ‘between a rock and a hard place’ situation and tells Maddox that she has an idea and would soon update him on it.
5) Alex Riley and Brad Maddox
Daniel Bryan beats both Swagger and Cesaro and Maddox is clearly dejected, as he is seen backstage along with Alex Riley.
Maddox then tells Riley to watch if Bryan is capable of performing against his next opponent, as the segment ends.
