WWE RAW: Locker Room Talk – September 2, 2013
From earth-shattering interviews to backstage brawls, the backstage area has played an important role in the WWE over the years.
So, we bring to you WWE RAW ‘locker room’, an article that highlights all the backstage segments on your favourite show:
1) Triple H, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes
Triple H and Randy Orton were seen backstage discussing The Big Show. They then encounter Cody Rhodes, who genuinely shakes hands with Triple H. He then tells Triple H that the scheduled main event for the night featuring Big Show and Daniel Bryan will be a great match provided nobody interferes (taking a dig at Triple H involving The Shield in all of Bryan’s matches).
He also tells the C.O.O that Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan is what is right for business and that Orton is not scared of Bryan.
This got Triple H enraged, who told Cody to not interfere in his decisions, as he knew better. He also talks about Rhodes’ not inviting him or Randy Orton for the former’s wedding. He generously then scheduled a match between Orton and Rhodes for later that night, as a wedding present for Rhodes with his career on the line.
2) Booker T and Daniel Bryan
Booker T is seen backstage wanting to talk to Bryan. Booker says that Bryan was too good to go back to local gyms and wrestle for 50 bucks and that he can make tons of money here in the WWE.
Booker said Bryan needs to rethink about going against the McMahons, as they are too powerful and advised him to give up the title match. “Tell me you didn’t just say that!” was Bryan’s response, and he sounded serious.
Booker ended the segment by saying that Bryan needs to think about it, as he could be in line for a career threatening injury or something more disastrous. He then reassured him saying he was on Bryan’s side.
3) Brad Maddox and Triple H
Brad Maddox tells Triple H and Stephanie backstage that The Big Show refuses to fight Bryan. Stephanie takes charge and tells that she will ‘publically’ deal with the situation, as the segment faded away.
Big Show is the seen backstage breaking everything around him to deal with his frustrating segment with Stephanie.
4) Paul Heyman, Brad Maddox and Triple H
Heyman confronted Brad Maddox backstage and told Maddox that if Punk got his hands on Heyman, he won’t be seen on RAW again. Heyman said Maddox doesn’t know what’s best for business, which brought in Triple H.
Triple H said that he got his ‘cue’ to intervene in the segment and spoke about how impressed he was over the years seeing Heyman weaselling out in the past. He told Heyman he could try to weasel his way out this time again.
Triple H sternly said that in the scenario, Heyman might get the beating of his life, or he could surprise him by finding a way out. He said it was best for him, and thus for the business, as Heyman looked puzzled.
5) Big Show and Daniel Bryan
Big Show was seen with Bryan backstage. Show told Bryan that he can do nothing about what is happening and that he had no other option. Bryan brushed off the emotional talk and tells Big Show that he is going to beat him tonight just like he did earlier to win his first world title.
6) Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes is seen leaving the arena backstage. He is interviewed by Josh Mathews, who asks him about his match. A frustrated Cody says that Orton was the better man and won the match fairly. He also talks about the McMahons dominating the WWE for over two decades and how they insulted his family by having them portray silly gimmicks. He then leaves in frustration after being asked to address his fiancée.
