WWE: RAW Preview for 15th July

This week’s RAW will see the fallout from Money in the Bank PPV. For the first time in a while, no titles changed hands on Sunday as all the champions retained their titles, while Damien Sandow won the Money in the Bank ladder match for the World Heavyweight championship and Randy Orton won the ‘All Stars’ Money in the Bank ladder match for a chance to compete for the WWE title.

Going into tonight’s show, RAW will come to us from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, as WWE gears up for the biggest party of the summer, Summerslam. What can we expect from this week’s episode of RAW? Let’s find out.

John Cena – Mark Henry confrontation

At Money in the Bank, John Cena defied the odds and defeated Mark Henry, when he trapped Henry in the STF and Henry had no other choice but to submit. After the PPV ended, Mark Henry posted a photo on his official Twitter account of his son being disappointed, and had an ominous message for John Cena, saying he’d see him on RAW.

With Mark Henry failing to capture the WWE title last night, will the World’s Strongest Man challenge Cena for the WWE title at next month’s PPV? Or will the WWE champion move on to face another opponent after defeating Mark Henry? We will get to know who would face John Cena at Summerslam, tonight!

‘Mr. Money in the Bank’ – Randy Orton

Last night, Randy Orton succeeded in climbing the ladder and retrieving the briefcase during the ‘All Stars’ Money in the Bank match for the WWE championship. Now that Orton can cash in the briefcase for a chance to win the WWE title at any time or place he chooses, will the Apex predator lay down the challenge to the WWE champion for a scheduled date?

There have only been two instances when a superstar gave the time and date for cashing in his briefcase before hand, one of which was Rob Van Dam in ’06 and the other being an unsuccessful Cena on 1000th episode of RAW. Will Orton wait for the right opportunity and strike the WWE champion? With the possibility of Orton turning heel, things can get interesting in the WWE.

Dolph Ziggler’s rocky relationship with AJ Lee

Dolph Ziggler was just a heartbeat away from winning the World Heavyweight championship last night, as the show-off took on Alberto Del Rio in an entertaining bout. As Ziggler was about to go for the Zig Zag, AJ Lee came into the ring and decked ADR with the Divas title, to give ADR the victory via disqualification.

As a confused Ziggler looked on helplessly, ADR took the World Heavyweight title and retreated to the back. With Ziggler walking out on AJ Lee, what will happen between the two come Monday? With the rumored feud between Ziggler and Big E in the works, this can be the beginning of the end between Ziggler-AJ relationship.

Team Rhodes Scholars hits a roadblock

At Money in the Bank, during the opening bout of the main card for the MitB contract for the World Heavyweight championship, Cody Rhodes stole the show, and was fingertips away from getting the contract when his partner and best friend, Damien Sandow threw Cody off the ladder, costing him the match.

Damien Sandow then climbed the ladder and retrieved the briefcase, earning the right to face the World Heavyweight champion at anytime/any place for the World Heavyweight championship. Cody would feel that he was betrayed by Sandow, and it will be interesting to see how Cody responds tonight on Monday Night RAW.

CM Punk confronts Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar

The shocker of the night at the Money in the Bank PPV was Paul Heyman costing CM Punk the match, when Heyman blindsided Punk and attacked the Second City Savior with a ladder, busting him open and making it impossible for Punk to continue in the match.

With tensions brewing between Heyman and Punk for a month, things finally escalated last night, and Punk would be looking for some retribution on RAW. With Brock Lesnar also scheduled for the show, it will be interesting to see what transpires between the Paul Heyman guys, as Punk and Lesnar go head to head to seal the deal for their much anticipated bout at Summerslam! This week’s RAW is a must-watch episode, and we will have to wait and see how things turn out.
