WWE RAW: Preview for 20th January
The final RAW before this year’s Royal Rumble comes to us from the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio, and already promises to be an episode of RAW you cannot afford to miss! Last week’s RAW ended with Daniel Bryan turning on the Wyatt Family, and the saga continues as we head towards the mega event on the 26th of January! The same show saw the WWE World Heavyweight champion Randy Orton attacking John Cena’s father! Also, on Smackdown!, the monster turned corporate puppet Kane attacked CM Punk when Punk called out Triple H! There are a lot of interesting stories which are developing in the world of WWE. Going into the last week of RAW, things are bound to get heated up. So what can we expect from this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW? Let’s find out.
CM Punk takes on The Authority
Last week on RAW, the New Age Outlaws turned their back on the Straight Edge Savior, CM Punk. After the bout, Punk talked to Kane and said that he knew it was a plot against him, orchestrated by Triple H. Kane reassured Punk that Triple H didn’t have anything to do with it, and entered Punk into the Royal Rumble match. On Smackdown! however, CM Punk was once again on the receiving end, and this time, Kane joined in on the act and laid Punk out. With CM Punk setting his sights on The Authority, what will happen this week on RAW? Will Kane and the New Age Outlaws explain their recent actions? How will Punk exact revenge against them? Will Triple H break his silence and explain why his friends and members of The Authority attacked Punk? With Rumble around the corner, this week’s RAW promises to be an exciting episode!
Daniel Bryan turns on The Wyatt Family
If you’re one of those fans who’ve been complaining about superstars not getting the same reception as, say Austin did back in the Attitude Era, you’d have been pleasantly surprised last week. When Daniel Bryan blocked Bray Wyatt’s Sister Abigail and unleashed a fury of lethal kicks, the entire arena, which was subdued till then came unglued! Daniel Bryan is undoubtedly the hottest superstar (still) in professional wrestling, and by the end of the show, Daniel Bryan was the only man standing, after laying waste to Bray Wyatt and his henchmen. Although, he might not be present this week due to the concussion he suffered during the main event bout. Nonetheless, if Bryan does make it to the Royal Rumble, he’ll be one of the firm favorites to win the 30 – men bout. It’ll be interesting to see what WWE decides to do with Daniel Bryan, now that he won’t be allowed to compete for a while. Will he be written off TV? We can only wait and find out.
Brock Lesnar’s next “big” challenge
At the Royal Rumble, The Big Show will take on “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar. Last week, Lesnar wasn’t present on RAW, and there are chances that he’ll be present on this week’s show to confront the giant before their showdown at the Royal Rumble. The last time Lesnar was in the same ring with The Big Show, Show toyed around with him, throwing him out of the squared circle! What will happen on this week’s episode? Will Lesnar get the upper hand before Royal Rumble? Or will The Big Show continue to win the mind games over his opponent? We’ll have to wait and find out.
Randy Orton gets under Cena’s skin
On last week’s episode, Randy Orton lost to Kofi Kingston in a non – title match. After the bout, a frustrated champion took out his anger on Cena Sr., who was present in attendance. After the vicious attack, Cena Sr. was taken to a nearby medical facility, and this only angered John Cena who has vowed to hurt Randy Orton. Will Cena be able to get his hands on the champion before Royal Rumble? What will Randy Orton do now that Cena is out for his blood? We’ll get all our answers on this week’s episode of RAW!
Batista returns to the WWE
One of the major talking points going into this week’s show is the return of The Animal, Batista. After a near 4 year hiatus from professional wrestling, Batista will return to the WWE on this week’s episode of RAW! What will The Animal do, now that his former partner turned foe, Randy Orton is the undisputed WWE champion? With Alberto Del Rio trash talking Batista for the past few weeks, the former World champion would be one of Batista’s primary targets. What will unfold on one of the most unpredictable RAWs in recent memory? We can only wait and get ready for a wild night, as WWE rolls out with the final episode of RAW before Royal Rumble!
