WWE RAW Results: 4 July 2016

The Club beat up John Cena before Enzo and Cass came out to rescue the Cenation leader

The 1206th episode of Monday Night Raw took place on July 4, 2016, at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. July 4 also marks the American Independence day as a huge 16-man tag team elimination match between Team USA and Team Multinational alliance was scheduled for the show.

The show began with the majority of the roster having Barbeque on the eve of July the 4th. Cesaro and Appolo Crews were involved in an arm wrestling contest and the Golden Truth were busy singing while the others were busy having food. 

The Vaude Villains interrupted the Golden Truth and then came the Miz. It was then that things went out of hand, as the Barbeque turned into a food fight as Kevin Owens hid under a table eating his food.

Once everyone left the place, Owens came out of his shelter and grabbed a hot dog before getting a pie as he claimed, “This would never happen on Canada Day” and the segment came to an end. 

Lilian Garcia kicked off the proceedings by singing the American national anthem.

Rusev beat Titus O’Neil and retained the US championship.

Enzo and Cass beat Social Outcasts members, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.

WWE Women’s champion Charlotte walked out to the ring along with Dana Brooke and bragged about herself before Sasha Banks interrupted the champion. The segment ended with Sasha making a statement of her own with a bank statement to Charlotte.

WWE champion Dean Ambrose beat the Intercontinental champion The Miz in a Champion vs Champion match. After the match was over, Seth Rollins’ music hit as the challenger for Ambrose’s title walked down to the ring to face Ziggler.

Ambrose played mind games with Rollins before joining the Spanish announcers table. Eventually, he ended up joining JBL, Michael Cole and Byron Saxton as a guest commentator.

There was an announcement on Brock Lesnar’s SummerSlam opponent. It has been revealed that the man who will be taking on the beast at the PPV will be announced on this week’s SmackDown.

Seth Rollins beat Dolph Ziggler. In the aftermath, Seth got on the Spanish announce table and made a proposal to make sure that Roman is out of the triple-threat at Battleground. As Rollins went on with his rant, Ambrose got on the Spanish table and stared at Rollins down before hitting the Dirty Deeds on the Spanish table.

Big Show gave his Team USA members a pep talk ahead of the 16-man elimination tag team match. Every member of the team was on the same page.

Golden Truth beat the Vaudevillains as Breezango was in attendance at the ringside.

Vickie Guerrero made an appearance and put her forward for the post of SmackDown general manager before she was escorted out by two security guards.

John Cena addressed The Club as the latter interrupted Cena and roasted the Cenation leader before attacking him. Enzo and Big Cass came to Cena’s rescue and saved him from the Club.

Becky Lynch beat Summer Rae as Natalya watched the match on a television, backstage.

Chris Jericho asked his Team Multinational Alliance members to be on the same page as he wants his team to beat Team USA. 

WWE tag team champions New Day cut a promo and were interrupted by the Wyatts, who challenged the champions to come to their turf. New Day accepted the challenge, but Xavier Woods warned Kofi Kingston and Big E about the threat posed by Bray and walked out of the ring. 

The Club vs John Cena and Enzo Cass has been announced for WWE Battleground. 

Team USA beat Team Multinational alliance. Big Show and Zack Ryder stood tall to end the show.

The match went like this:

Bubba Ray eliminated Sincara.

Kalisto eliminated Bubba.

Cesaro eliminated D-Von. 

Chris Jericho eliminated Jack Swagger.

Mark Henry eliminated Kalisto.

Kevin Owens eliminated Mark Henry.

Kevin Owens and Kane were eliminated by disqualification. 

Apollo Crews eliminated Sami Zayn.

Sheamus eliminated Apollo Crews.

Zack Ryder eliminated Cesaro.

Big Show eliminated Chris Jericho.

Big Show eliminated Alberto Del Rio.

Zack Ryder eliminated Sheamus. 

Team USA emerged victorious.
