Reason behind Orton's injury, Cena update, James Storm and his NXT future
- ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton was conspicuous by his absence on RAW due to a shoulder injury he suffered during the week, that has led to the abrupt cancellation of his Hell in a Cell match.
Orton is undergoing an MRI and other relevant tests at the moment, to assess the situation of his injury. According to reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Orton dislocated his shoulder while he was taking out the trash. Yes, you read right, while taking out the trash.
As ridiculous as that may sound, it has to be noted that Orton has been having shoulder issues for quite some time now and has been working matches in spite of his wrecked shoulder. The word is that Orton was in a lot of visible pain following the incident and it took a whopping three hours to pop the shoulder back into its appropriate place.
Hoping Orton is on the path to speedy recovery and makes a return sooner than later.
- John Cena’s much talked about time off is all set to begin right after Hell In a Cell as he has been left out of the advertisements for the fall out RAW episode in San Diego. It was earlier speculated that the ‘Cenation’ leader would be on RAW post-Hell In a Cell, but that seems unlikely.
Seth Rollins, Dudley Boyz, Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens, New Day, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt and Sheamus are all scheduled to be on RAW following Hell In a Cell. Interestingly, Randy Orton, who is nursing a shoulder injury, has also been listed to be appearing according to the updated RAW advertisement.
- NXT’s latest veteran addition, James Storm has been a welcome addition to the already strong developmental roster. Although his future is uncertain, Storm is all set to be a regular fixture of NXT’s tapings. When asked about a fan about whether he would be at WWE NXT’s UK tour, Storm dropped a hint on being on board and ready for whatever the WWE has in store for him. Below is his post:
Things at NXT get even more intriguing as each week goes by, which makes it a show you cannot afford to miss.
