Reason revealed behind Bray Wyatt absence from RAW
WWE Hall of Famer Robert "Blackjack Mulligan" Windham has been admitted to hospital in a serious condition, which is why Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas and their producer father Mike "IRS" Rotunda will all give RAW a miss tonight – reports wrestlinginc.com.
Robert Windham, who has been suffering from various health problems over the years, was admitted to a Florida hospital in a serious condition, which is why his family rushed to be by his side. The former wrestler was most recently hospitalised in 2015 following a heart attack.
The 73-year-old began his career as a football player before making the switch to wrestling in the ‘60s and got his first major break into the sport with the World Wide Wrestling Federation, which is where he got his Blackjack Mulligan name.
Windham moved to WWE, then WWF, in 1982 and was involved in numerous feuds, most notably with Andre The Giant, while forming partnerships with his son Barry Windham, Dusty Rhodes and Dick Murdoch. Trophies followed Windham into WWF too, with the wrestler lifting the WWF Tag Team Championship with Blackjack Lanza in 1975. Windham’s contribution to WWE was recognized in 2006, which is when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
