WWE: Rey Mysterio return date set, Sin Cara's injuries
- As noted earlier, Rey Mysterio appeared at last night’s WWE live event in Hidalgo, Texas. Mysterio made his way to the ring on one crutch and cut a promo. Mysterio mentioned the late Eddie Guerrero, which started an “Eddie” chant in the arena.
Mysterio then said that there are only a few weeks until his return. He revealed that he would be returning on October 16th during the WWE tour in Mexico. You can check out a detailed report from yesterday’s show in Hidalgo at this link.
- Mysterio was also doing media for WWE last week in Mexico. During an interview with SuperLuchas.net, Mysterio commented on Sin Cara being out of action.
“Sin Cara has not had much luck due to injuries,” Mysterio said. “The same happened to me when I came to the United States after my time in AAA. In my first year I got my first injury, and then another and another. Hopefully Sin Cara returns soon, and if people want to see us as a tag team, we’ll do it.”
- Jim Ross posted his latest blog, which you can read by clicking here. During the entry, JR said to watch out for NXT talent Sami Zayn.
“Keep an eye on NXT talent Sami Zayn,” Ross wrote. “He’s a keeper and likely will be on a WWE main roster this year or so I think. Great attitude and skill set. There are several excellent prospects in NXT. How they are introduced to the masses is a huge key.”
