WWE: Ric Flair set to return at Live Event, Daniel Bryan removed from the show
WWE Hall of Famer, Ric Flair, is well poised to convert his WWE comeback speculations into reality as ‘Nature Boy’ has been given the green signal by the WWE to appear on next month’s Live Event show.
As reported earlier, the 65-year-old was in Pittsburgh on June 2, where he underwent some medical examinations. After the confirmation of Flair successfully passing the tests, WWE has advertised him for the Madison Square Garden Live Event show which is scheduled to be held on July 12.
As of now, this will be Flair's first official WWE appearance after passing his medical tests to return as a regular performer.
However, recently stripped World Champion, Daniel Bryan, has been removed from the Live Event. Triple H was scheduled to face Bryan in a Street Fight but will still appear for the event.
Ever since Jerry “The King” Lawler suffered a heart attack during a Raw broadcast show, the WWE has mandated all superstars to pass a medical test in order to assure that they are healthy enough to travel with the company.
Flair has been making regular appearances with the WWE in recent months. His most recent appearance was on “WWE NXT” to support his daughter, Charlotte, when she faced off against Natalya for the vacant NXT Women’s Championship. Bret “The Hit Man” Hart was also present at Natalya’s corner.
It remains to be seen how the 16-time World Champion will be used by the WWE scriptwriters. Word is out that he might be considered for an on-screen managerial role. Other reports suggest that the former Four-Horsemen member will manage The Miz who will be returning after his production for the Marine 3. Earlier, he had stated that he would love to manage Dolph Ziggler.
The latest name to be included in the list is Seth Rollins. With Rollins betraying The Shield and joining previous faction The Evolution, Flair could very well act as a mentor for Rollins.
