Ric Flair's WOOOOO! Nation co-host reveals little-known details about the Nature Boy
In an interview with WrestleDelphia, Conrad Thompson, who is the co-host of WOOOOO! Nation along with legendary wrestler Ric Flair has given people more of an insight into the iconic wrestlers life, including details that were unknown to the public.
Thompson revealed that despite being a wrestler, Flair is a real teddy bear at heart, saying: "I don't think people really understand the level of which he loves people. Not just his children, but especially them. When we hang out for a full day, I can't tell you how many times he's calling or texting his kids.”
He adds, “He's way, way, way connected to them. But also to other people in his life, whether it is his girlfriend or friends, he's a very sincere, genuine person. The crying on TV is not for the camera. That's him in real life. He loves very hard."
When asked about the recent incident on Raw where Ric’s deceased son Reid was name dropped, Thompson said that Flair was obviously upset with the mention, which showed by the way he communicated.
Another unknown but unsurprising fact about Flair is that he and technology haven’t come to an understanding as of yet.
“He's just a technology-challenged person no different than your grandpa may be. And I mean no disrespect to Ric and he would be really pissed if he read this, but you know, he's 66. He's not going to get into all this technology stuff,” Thompson reveals.
Despite his weakness with technology, Flair was always a powerful figure in the ring and has won, among other things: a six-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, a two-time WWF Champion, a World Tag Team Champion as well as the first ever two-time inductee of the WWE Hall of Fame – all in a 40 year wrestling career.
Experience is also something that Flair counts among his assets, with the wrestler plying his trade across various formats like National Wrestling Alliance, WCW, International Wrestling Enterprise, TNA, etc.
Flair is currently signed up with WWE to a legends contract, where he makes appearances at various events, especially Raw.
