WWE/ROH News: The Bullet Club invites the McMahons to ROH show in San Antonio
What’s the story?
Earlier today ROH posted a clip on their official Twitter handle that showcased the Bullet Club inviting The McMahons to a Ring of Honor show that is all set to take place in San Antonio, on 17th November 2017.
In case you didn’t know…
Ring of Honor will host a show in San Antonio next month, as part of their Survival of the Fittest tour. However, on that very same day, NXT is also set to host a show in San Antonio with a card that features Drew McIntyre vs Adam Cole for the NXT Championship as the main event of the evening.
WWE has also decided to bring in Hall of Famer, Shawn Michaels who will be the special guest referee in the title match between Cole and McIntyre.
However, a lot of people have speculated that the sole reason behind WWE bringing in Shawn Michaels is an attempt to hurt ROH’s ticket sales on November 17.
The heart of the matter
In Ring of Honor’s Twitter clip, the Bullet Club was seen cutting a promo on the WWE and also invited The McMahons to their show later next month.
In the promo, ROH World Champion Cody pointed out by saying that WWE stole all of his dad’s ideas and that Ring of Honor had booked a show first on November 17. His fellow Bullet Club stable-mate Marty Scurll went on to add that WWE also stole his signature villain umbrella as well.
“The American Nightmare” then stated that WWE is trying to take advantage of the success of the Bullet Club, but despite all that, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion gave credit to Vince McMahon’s company for playing it fair.
The Bullet Club then invited everyone in the WWE to their San Antonio show and also offered a ten percent discount to the McMahons and asked them to come along with their ID’s.
What’s next?
The Bullet Club has been the centre of attention in the wrestling world as of lately and the group is all set to “invade” San Antonio next month as part of their annual Survival of the Fittest tour.
On the other hand, WWE will also return to San Antonio the very same day and will feature an NXT Title match between champion Drew McIntyre and Adam Cole, who himself is a former Bullet Club member. The November 17th show will take place in the Aztec Theatre and will be a special NXT live event that will take place one day before NXT Takeover: WarGames.
Author’s Take
Personally, I am excited to see what will be Bullet Club's next move when both ROH and NXT step foot in San Antonio at the same time.
It is pretty much assured that the faction will most likely shoot another episode of Being the Elite—a show that features the lives of Bullet Club members and also includes several backstage segments.
The Bullet Club recently shot an episode of the BTE and “invaded” Monday Night Raw and chances come November 17th they will once again show up at Vince McMahon’s doorsteps.
