With this year's event just two days away, one can feel the excitement and anticipation among the WWE fans, especially regarding the 30 Men/Women Royal Rumble matches.

On another note, the recent turn of events - Finn Balor replacing Braun Strowman in his match against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship - has created a lot of buzz and has hyped the event.

Well, the 30 Men Royal Rumble match has always been the highlight of this monumental event and as of now, WWE has already announced 20 Superstars for the Men Royal Rumble match, leaving 10 open spots for surprise entries.

Apart from the surprise entries, one important aspect of the Rumble match is alliances. Superstars often form a temporary alliance in hopes of winning the Rumble.

According to the reports of PWInsiderElite, Matt Hardy has been cleared to participate in the Royal Rumble event on January 27 and could very well be one of the surprise entrants.

Given, Jeff Hardy has already announced himself for the Rumble, we might witness the Hardy Boyz joining hands to form an alliance.

However, what will be interesting to see is what future plans WWE have for the duo. Creative could have Matt eliminate Jeff to turn heel and lay down the breadcrumbs for a potential feud or the brothers could eliminate the New Day to tease a classic tag team feud if WWE decides to unite the brothers in a tag team.
