WWE Rumor Mill: Becky Lynch could be dropping her Women's Championship at TLC
What's the story?
Becky Lynch defends her SmackDown Women's Championship in the first ever Women's TLC match in less than two weeks, and it appears that The Man could be walking out of San Jose without her Championship.
In case you didn't know...
Becky Lynch has been one of the hottest stars on SmackDown Live over the past few months, ever since she turned heel and started referring to herself as "The Man."
Lynch was recently forced to pull out of her match at Survivor Series after she suffered a concussion at the hands of Nia Jax, which has led to rumors that the Irish star could be wrestling Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania.
Lynch needs to pick up the feud with Rousey heading into the biggest event of the year and given the fact that both women currently have Championships, Lynch is the most likely to be dropping her title ahead of their collision.
The heart of the matter
According to Bryan Alvarez on the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer, it's likely that Asuka could be walking out of TLC with the Women's Championship so that Lynch is free to battle Rousey for the Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania.
“It makes me wonder if maybe the reason she’s in there is to win because of course, you know how they do things. Nobody’s gonna expect it. Everybody’s expecting either Becky Lynch or Charlotte to walk out with the title but — hey, they could very easily do the deal where they’re both in the Royal Rumble, they’re both trying to win the Rumble to get their hands on Ronda Rousey and if they’re both going to be in the Rumble then somebody else should be the champion. So there’s a very good chance Asuka will walk out as champion. I guess we’ll find out." he said via Ringsidenews.
What's next?
Becky Lynch defends her Women's Championship against both Charlotte and Asuka at TLC on December 16th in the first ever Women's TLC match.
