WWE Rumor Mill: Huge name to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame?
What's the story
The speculation begins as many big names from WWE's past could be entered into the 2019 Hall of Fame. One of WWE's biggest stars of all-time could have his name etched in the annals of WWE's most prestigious ceremony that houses such names as Andre the Giant, Bruno Sammartino and Hulk Hogan, among many others.
In case you didn't know...
This WWE Superstar is not only a Hollywood film actor, but perhaps is one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all-time! He is a former two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, three-time Tag Team Champion, Royal Rumble winner and an eight-time WWE Champion! His rivalries with the likes of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Mick Foley, John Cena, The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, and Triple H have helped make this man a valid and well-deserved WWE Hall of Famer.
The heart of the matter
According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Radio and also Rajah.com, the WWE wants The Rock to headline the 2019 Hall of Fame class. This is pretty much a shoo-in for The Rock, as he is well deserving of this honor.
There was originally much speculation we would be seeing a match between The Rock and Roman Reigns, but that idea is pretty much off the table considering the health issues Reigns is currently facing at this point.
Among names like Vader and Batista, who could potentially be entering the WWE Hall of Fame as well, this could be one of the biggest Hall of Fame classes in a long time. This would also explain why the company changed the dates for the Hall of Fame from Saturday to Friday, as The Rock would not be available to appear on Saturday due to a scheduling conflict.
Take this as a strong rumour for the time being, folks.
What's next?
The Rock is currently filming "Hobbs and Shaw" a spin-off of the "Fast & Furious" series and just completed post-production on "Fighting With My Family".
